THURROCK face a hugely important clash at table-topping Amersham & Chiltern this weekend.

T’s moved up to fourth in the London One standings with a 34-28 win against Chelmsford last weekend.

But they still sit 10 points behind Amersham and director of rugby Dean White is expecting a stern test as his side look to close the gap with another good result.

“This is going to be a very tough test against league leaders Amersham, we expect them to be in very good form and we will need to be at the top of our game to compete,” said White.

“We beat Amersham at home earlier in the season but it was probably one of our hardest tests we have faced.

“They are very well drilled and have national league qualities throughout the team.

“But we will be concentrating in the areas that caused them problems when we last played them and if we get these right then this could be a very close game.”
