A YOUNG Billericay rugby team stepped onto the hallowed Wembley turf to welcome their heroes from Saracens and Harlequins onto the pitch in front of 80,000 supporters.

Billericay Bees junior players formed a Guard of Honour the Aviva Premiership match between the two earlier this month as part of the 'Pride in Unity' parade, in which clubs and schools complete a lap of the pitch.

The Billericay Bees are based at Willowbrook Sports Ground, in Stock Road and they went in force, with Billericay RFC having the largest contingent of junior players and club coaches in the parade - a total of 160.

The young players applauded Rugby World Cup stars and Six Nations Grand Slam winners onto the pitch, including Billy Vunipola, Owen Farrell and Chris Robshaw in front of the TV cameras as they made an appearance in front of millions.
