ROCHFORD Hundred Rugby Club’s family fun day proved to be a big-hitting success.
Youngsters all of ages were encouraged to attend Magnolia Road to try out the sport.
And club chairman Peter Van-Den-Broeck was delighted to see so budding players in attendance.
“The day gave us a chance to showcase our facilities and what it means to be part of the Rochford Hundred RFC family,” said Van-Den-Broeck.
“As the newly-elected chairman of this great club I fully intend to build on what our previous chairman Colin Wiseman started.
“We want to be known as the club of choice for families, with a direct focus on all our players aspiring to be in our first team.
“To do this the whole club must drive inclusion at all levels.”
And Rochford’s director of rugby Michael Guess is also keen to make sure everyone at the club continues to enjoy playing.
“One of the key main things we focus on is the enjoyment of the game,” said Guess.
“We bring that right through from the minis up to the first team.
“The club is striving to move forward on and off the field.
“This day allowed everyone to see both the enjoyment and the great family atmosphere that we have at Rochford Hundred Rugby Club.
“Everyone is always made to feel very welcome when they come here.”
