SOUTHEND Saxons prop Todd Bailey is not too sure what to expect at Amersham & Chiltern this afternoon.

Saxons head to Buckinghamshire on the back of a narrow win against Westcliff.

But Bailey admitted to not knowing too much about their latest opponents in National Three London & SE.

“I’m not sure what to expect from Amersham and that will be the case a lot this year as we are new in the league so there are a lot of unknown quantities,” said Bailey.

“But from us I’m expecting us to be a lot more clinical and to start putting some phases together.

“All the boys that are coming in to the team are there now so it’s time to start gelling and putting together some good performances.”

And Bailey is desperate to make it two wins in succession.

“It’s massively important to build on the win against Westcliff,” said Bailey.

“We need to start putting some proper performances together and really start to look forward to the rest of the season.

“Hopefully we can now go on a little winning streak and get on track for where we want to be for the rest of the season.”
