CHARLIE Jobling will be chasing a third win in a row for Westcliff when they host Guernsey in National Three London & SE tomorrow.

Westcliff have triumphed in their last two games to move up to 11th in the standings, six points clear of the relegation zone.

And second row Jobling is now keen to keep the good run going with another victory against fifth placed Guernsey.

“I think Guernsey are going to be tough opposition and they will most certainly want to make their long trip worthwhile,” said Jobling.

“But if we play out for the full 80 minutes I’m sure we will come away with the win and that’s what we’re obviously going to be aiming for as well.”

Westcliff will also be heading into the game full of confidence after recording back to back victories for the first time this season.

Jobling - who arrived at the Gables this season - played a pivotal part in the 39-24 win at Chichester last time out.

And he remains buoyed by the victory which also saw him score his first try for the club.

“It was nice to get my first try for the club,” said the 23-year-old.

“It was a classic forwards off the back of a maul try but of course I’ll take the credit and it was a good day for us.

“It’s been great to get two wins on the trot and we showed real character to beat Chichester.

“We had 14 men for around 50 minutes of the game so to dig in like we did was very encouraging.

“It certainly showed what we can be capable of.

“But I do still think we have more to show in terms of performances.”
