THURROCK’S director of rugby Dean White insists his side cannot wait to take on Old Priorians in London One North this weekend.

The fifth placed T’s saw off Letchworth Garden City 52-12 last time out.

And White is now eager for more of the same against an Old Priorians team who are currently eighth in the table.

“We are really looking forward to Saturday’s game,” said White.

“This fixture always produces a lot of points with both teams intent on running rugby.

“The team has trained well and we are hoping for a good performance.”

But White admitted it had been a tough team to pick.

“Selection has been really hard this week which is a sign of how many quality players we now have,” said White, “We need to keep winning and sometimes this means selecting certain sides for certain games depending on what we are trying to achieve on the field.

“There are three home games on Saturday so the club should be buzzing.”

The Thurrock T-Birds are also at home on Sunday in the National Cup.

They play host to Premiership side Bristol, kick off 2.15pm.

>IN London Three North East this weekend, eighth placed Basildon head to West Norfolk who are immediately below them in the table.

In Essex One A, seventh placed Billericay are away to Dagenham who are immediately above them in the table.

Unbeaten league leaders Stanford le Hope head to second place Millwall in an intriguing top of the table clash.

Fifth placed Pegasus Palmerians are at home to Bancroft who sit fourth in the standings, eight points above their opponents.
