THURROCK’S head coach David-Mobbs Smith called for his side to be more clinical after seeing them held to an 18-18 draw by Saffron Walden in London One North.

The stalemate saw Thurrock slip down to sixth in the standings.

And Mobbs-Smith is now keen for his team to start killing off their opponents when on top.

“We played some great rugby with a number of players missing due to injury but we must be more clinical when opportunities are created,” said Mobbs-Smith.

“The last two games has seen us drop points and we now have to work even harder to close the gap at the top.”

Thurrock are now 19 points behind unbeaten league leaders Tring and host fifth placed North Walsham this weekend.
