THURROCK face the toughest possible test in London One North this weekend as they travel to unbeaten league leaders Tring.

The Hertfordshire based side have won all 14 of their games this season and are currently 10 points clear at the top.

But T’s director of rugby Dean White insists his team are looking forward to testing themselves against the table-toppers.

“Games don’t come any harder than this one, it’s the toughest fixture of the season but we can’t wait to play against them,” said White.

“We had a two week rest over Christmas but we trained really hard on Wednesday night.

“We will be concentrating on our performance while also trying to restrict Tring’s opportunities.

“And if we get our detail correct then we will cause them issues.”

Thurrock, who are sixth in the table, head into the clash without a defeat in their last six outings but three of those games have ended in draws.

In London Three North East this weekend, eighth placed Basildon head to East London looking to complete the double over their hosts who are fifth in the standings.

In Essex One A, fifth placed Billericay host Bancroft who are immediately above them in the table.

Sixth placed Pegasus Palmerians are at home to Millwall, who are currently nine points clear at the top of the table while third placed Stanford le Hope host second placed Old Brentwoods.

In Essex One B, third placed Canvey Island begin the new year at home to Maldon who are immediately below them in the table.

Canvey beat Harwich & Dovercourt 57-7 in their last outing and will be looking for a third win in succession.
