WESTCLIFF will be looking for a fourth win in a row when they host Chichester in National Three London & SE tomorrow.

A trio of successive wins have seen Westcliff work their way up to seventh in the standings.

And centre Uta Tupuola is keen to keep the good run going.

“It’s been good to get the three wins in a row but I still think there is still more for us to learn from the past few games,” said Tupuloa.

“We’re just making the most of the opportunities we get given at the moment, which is always important and that’s something we want to be able to keep doing if we are going to move higher up the table.”

Westcliff’s fine recent form will also see them favourites to triumph this weekend against a Chichester side who sit just above the relegation zone in 12th.

But Tupuola is expecting to be playing a part in another testing clash.

“The game with Chichester is unpredictable but I’m expecting it to be a physical battle, which is something I love,” said the centre.

“I hope to get a good win with another five points but we have to make sure we prepare for the game in the right way.”

And Tupuola was keen to stress that also means avoiding any complacency.

“It is very important that we don’t think that we’ve won the game already in our heads because that’s certainly not the case as all the games are very hard in this league,” said Tupuola.

“I think it will come down to who wants it the most and we have to make sure that’s us.

“It’s good that we’re going into the game feeling confident but backing that up will be the hard part now.”

Chichester head into the game on the back of two defeats having won the previous three before that.

But Westcliff’s director of rugby Rick Compton is expecting another difficult game for his in-form side.

“This week it’s another tough game against Chichester, who have strung together some good victories in recent weeks,” said Compton.

“We picked up some lumps and bumps last weekend, so some medical assessments will be required before selecting the starting line-up.

“But the team we put out will be confident, capable and determined because the last few weeks have gone well.

“The lads and the coaching team deserve a great deal of credit for that and we have won with a bonus point for three consecutive weeks now.

“We have scored 20 tries in the process and Saturday was our sixth consecutive home victory but we still want more.”
