ROCHFORD Hundred will be seeking revenge against Norwich when they take to the field for their final home game of the London Two North East season tomorrow.

Rochford suffered a painful 15-13 defeat in Norfolk back in November.

And Hundred’s first team coach Michael Guess knows his team will be fired up to triumph this weekend.

“You always want to win at home in front of your own fans, who watch you every week, but we’ll really be looking to ramp things up this weekend,” said Guess.

“It’s the last home game of the season so we’ll want to put in a good performance and we’ll also be wanting to beat Norwich after what happened at their place earlier on in the season.

“We were leading that day right until the very last play of the game when they got a try to level things up and then got the conversion to win it.

“It was a very painful way to lose and it’s definitely something I will be reminding the lads about in the build up to Saturday’s game.”

Rochford head into this weekend’s game sitting eighth in the league table, two places and five points behind Norwich.

But, as they look to narrow the gap, Hundred will be without prop forward Michael Mark and second rows Max Bacon and Scott Horsburgh.

Matthew Bevan, Alex Harbrow and Louis Warner will all return to the starting line-up in their place and Guess is pleased with the progress being made since the arrival of Southend’s former director of rugby Chris Green in mid-February.

“It’s all going really well,” said Guess.

“The club is moving forward and a lot of changes are being made.

“But I don’t think it will be until next season that we really see the benefit of them.”
