ROCHFORD Hundred’s director of rugby Chris Green has challenged his side to go through the entire season unbeaten.

London Two North East leaders Rochford - who host seventh placed Epping Upper Clapton tomorrow - have triumphed in their opening 10 games of the campaign.

And Green has called on his team to extend that fine run until the end of April.

“We’ve won 10 out of 10 and want to keep that going as long as we can so why not try and go the whole season undefeated,” said Green.

“I’m not sure whether or not that’s ever been done before but it goes without saying we want to win every game so that’s the aim.”

Rochford have won nine successive league games and have scored 558 points while securing those victories. That has put them five points clear of second placed Wanstead, but Green is keen for Rochford to remain focused.

“We set ourselves targets and we have to stay focused on them,” said Green.

“One of our goals has been to stop the opposition from scoring a single point and we’ve been able to do that in our last two matches, which has been good.”

Rochford welcome Sam Fombo back from a knee injury this weekend, while Tom Corbet is also back in contention. However, Ricki Gould is out injured, meaning Steve Jay will start at scrum half.
