ROCHFORD Hundred will be aiming to get a step closer to Twickenham when they host London Exiles in the RFU Intermediate Cup tomorrow.

Rochford - who top the London Two North East table - have yet to lose this season.

And prop forward Lewis Brunger is keen to keep the unbeaten run going against what he believes will be difficult opposition this weekend.

“We’re expecting a tough game on Saturday,” said the 22-year-old.

“But we will prepare the best we can because everyone involved in the club knows how massive an opportunity this cup is.

“We’re all putting a lot of focus in to this training week to get the result and get us one step closer to Twickenham.”

Rochford have triumphed in all 14 of their league games so far this season.

And recent recruit Brunger is enjoying his rugby at Magnolia Road.

“I’ve enjoyed my few games so far and enjoyed playing with some old pals again,” said Brunger.

“I’m looking forward to getting some more game time under my belt and learning how different boys play the game, but it’s been good so far.

“I’ve recently moved in to the area and was contacted by Chris Green (director of rugby) and having known him and Danny Cleare (attacking coach) from my playing days at Seevic, it made it an easy decision to join up with them.

“I was at Bishops Stortford previously, where I enjoyed my time but having moved this way the travelling got too much so I came to Rochford and it’s been great.”
