UNBEATEN Rochford Hundred face a top of the table clash with Wanstead at Magnolia Road this afternoon.
London Two North East leaders Rochford are currently 10 points clear of second placed Wanstead having triumphed in all 14 of their league games so far this season.
And Rochford’s scrum half Ricki Gould is keen to keep the good run of results going as his side look to stretch their lead at the top.
“If we beat Wanstead we have some breathing space at the top of the table but we are taking nothing for granted,” said Gould.
“They are second in the table so they are a strong side too but I still expect us to put on a good performance and get the win with the depth of the squad we have here.”
Rochford are also just three rounds from reaching Twickenham in the final of the RFU Intermediate Cup.
And Gould insists Hundred will therefore be heading into tomorrow’s clash full of confidence.
“This season has been great so far and we’re all really pleased with how it’s been going so we’re looking forward to the games,” he said.
“We’re in the middle of a run which sees us playing a few big games in a row and it comes while we’ve got a couple of injury setbacks too.
“I’m sure we will be able to deal with it and we have really good team spirit which also helps. Everyone gets on really well together, apart from maybe Adam Ferrier!
“But this should be a good game.”
