TABLE-TOPPING Rochford Hundred resume their London Two North East campaign by hosting struggling Old Cooperians tomorrow.

Rochford were beaten by Camberley in the RFU Intermediate Cup last time out.

And Hundred’s hooker Adam Ferrier is keen to get back to winning ways as Rochford look to continue their unbeaten league season.

“This is an important game for us and a chance to regain some confidence in how we play,” said Ferrier.

“At the end of the day we had a bad day at the office and have learnt some lessons.

“It’s now how we react which is important with some really tough games coming up we’ve got to react and get back to our winning ways, which I’m positive we will do.”

Rochford have won all 17 of their league games so far this season and are currently 12 points clear of second-placed Sudbury with just five games to go.

But Ferrier is taking nothing for granted against Old Cooperians despite them sitting bottom of the table.

“I’m expecting a physical game as it was earlier on in the season,” said Ferrier.

“But, ultimately, I think it’s going to be the same result and see us walking away with five points.”

Spirits also remain high at Rochford and Ferrier was quick to taunt a certain aspect of his side’s form!

“We do have a bit of an issue with fielding a decent scrum-half at the minute,” laughed Ferrier.

“Ours can’t pass and has two left feet. He’s living in his dad’s shadow, I think!”

Rochford will also score their 1,000th point of the league season this weekend having already bagged 998.
