HARRY Branch is keen to return to action for Westcliff this weekend.

The Westcliff captain has been sidelined by concussion in recent weeks.

But Branch hopes to be back in contention for tomorrow’s London & SE Premier Division clash with Tunbridge Wells at the Gables.

“I’m very keen to feature this weekend as it’s a deciding game against Tunbridge that will solidify who comes fifth or sixth in the table,” said Branch.

“I’ve been out with concussion for a few weeks so I’m hoping to come back and bring back what I give to the team.

“It’s been a massively frustrating injury for myself because there’s nothing you can really do for concussion other than rest and that’s not something I’m used to.

“But hopefully I can be involved on Saturday.”

Fifth placed Westcliff go into the game two points and one place above the visitors.

And Branch believes that makes the game an important one to win.

“This weekend’s game will be a massive clash but hopefully due to the pitches being harder we should have the edge with our back line,” said Branch

“It’s all to play for at the weekend so I know that everyone will be putting in their full effort to take the win.”

Already relegated Southend host seventh placed Dorking in the London & SE Premier Division this weekend while in London One North, bottom of the table South Woodham Ferrers host Amersham & Chiltern.

In London Three Essex, Canvey Island head to East London.
