Rochford host high-flying Colchester

Rochford Hundred have named an unchanged starting line-up for tomorrow’s home clash with Colchester.

Hundred will be looking to be build on last weekend’s win over North Walsham.

And they are confident of being able to test a Colchester side who are second in the London One standings.

“We know we have the game that could give Colchester something to think about and with home advantage and a good crowd behind us anything can happen,” said Rochford’s first team manager Graham Pratt.

“Earlier on in the season we only just lost to Thurrock who are top of the league but we know we will need to be on the very top of our game.”

Table-topping Thurrock will be confident of recording another victory this weekend when they host 12th placed North Walsham while Basildon face a far tougher test in London Two North as they host runaway leaders Romford and Gidea Park Park.

Romford have won all 14 of their fixtures this season and are 13 points clear of their nearest rivals.

But third placed Basildon will be hoping to spring a surprise.

Canvey Island, who are 10th in the table, will also be looking to cause an upset when they head to sixth placed Hampstead.

The Islanders have suffered seven successive defeats.

And coach Andy Hawes is keen to bring the run of poor results to an end.

"Despite results going against us we have played some excellent rugby in patches and I know we have a good enough squad to turn these patches into a full 80 minutes,” said Hawes.

“If we can play for 80 like we did for the last 25 against Enfield we should not fear anyone.”

In London Three North East, sixth placed South Woodham Ferrers head to Stowmarket who sit fourth in the standings while in Essex One third placed Billericay head to fourth placed Clacton.

Pegasus Palmerians are at home to Upper Clacton and, in Essex Two, Stanford le Hope travel to Thames.
