Westcliff will be out to continue their improved run of form when they take on fourth placed Bishop’s Stortford at the Gables tomorrow.

Westcliff have strengthened their National League Three London & SE survival hopes by securing two successive victories and they now sit 11 points above the drop zone.

But skipper Simon Jones knows Stortford will be tough opponents this weekend as they have triumphed in their last 14 games “Bishop’s Stortford have been in really good form so we know we’re in for a hard game but we’re looking forward to it,” said Jones.

“The morale in our team has been lifted after the last few results and we’re feeling far more positive about things.

“We want to keep on doing well and not only do enough to make sure we stay up but also show that we will be able to mark our mark in this league next season.”

Westcliff are currently enjoying their first ever season in the National Leagues.

And they have grown in stature as the campaign has progressed.

“We’re a young team with a few old heads and we’ve settled down well now,” said Jones.

“We’ve progressed and will now keep on giving 100 per cent to make sure we have a good end to the season.”
