HADLEIGH based hooker Max Crumpton played the final 19 minutes as England’s under-20 rugby team beat Italy 64-5 in their opening fixture of the Junior World Championship in South Africa.
England, who top Pool B after the first round of matches, are next in action on Friday when they face Ireland at the Danie Craven Stadium, in Stellenbosch.
The Irish, who are a point behind England in second place in the pool, kicked off their campaign with a 23-19 win over their South African hosts on Monday.
