A CANVEY junior football team has won the small schools’ football league for the second year running.
St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, in Vaagen Road, continued from where they left off last campaign by triumphing in the Canvey Small Schools’ Football League.
Captains Ollie Robinson and Zachary Worswick lifted the cup surrounded by their teammates.
Paul Collingwood, headteacher at the school, praised the children’s achievement. “The players worked very hard throughout the season and deservedly became league champions,” he said.
“Much credit goes to our football coach Michael Cole who gave so freely of his time each week to train the team.”
