RAYLEIGH’S FitzWimarc School are jumping for joy after their best ever trampolining success.
Six Fitz pupils have worked their way through to the national finals.
And that is more than ever before in the school’s history.
Josh Hayton won the year nine section and progressed to the final which will take place in Bristol in March as an individual.
Lewis Johnstone came third in the year 10 category and also went through as an individual, while James Hedges, Luke Hayton, Billy Bellfield and Kareem Codabaccus progressed as a team after finishing second.
And that delighted their coach Lynne Kelly. “They were a credit to the school and it is the first time in the school’s history that we have had so many pupils qualify ever,” said Kelly.
“Last year we only had one boy qualify, so this is a fantastic achievement.
“They thoroughly deserve their success too.”
