HARRY Randle and Will Todd won on home turf when the David Lloyd Basildon Spring Tournament was held.
The week-long event saw the duo prevail in an excellent 18 and under doubles final against Billericay’s Marcus Eatherton and Connaught’s George Harris.
But event organisers Lesley and Ian Pitt reckoned the best match of the tournament was the 18 and under boys singles where Sam Roy-Choudhury from Brentwood Hard beat Nick Hilder in two close sets.
With the exception of the boys’ 14 and under singles and the 16 and under singles, which were won by Hertfordshire’s Lewis Roskilly, all the matches were won by Essex players.
