Juniors set for open at Hardcourts

THE Stellisons Junior Open tennis tournament is set to take place from August 6-11 at Westcliff Hardcourts.

Stellisons, who sponsor all junior tennis at the club, have this year arranged for AEG to add more money to the sponsorship.

The Grade 4 tournament is the only event on the county’s calendar that week and a bumper entry is expected on the courts.

The sponsorship ensures that good prize money is on offer, which is likely to attract high calibre players from across Essex and the surrounding counties.

Players can enter online via the LTA website: Google LTA, click on Find a Competition, enter tournament code ESS101, then select the required age group.

The event caters for under-eight to under-18 players and a consolation singles event will be arranged for first round losers.

Entry is free to spectators and refreshments will be available. Westcliff Hard is in The Ridgeway.
