EDWARD Pudney is punching above his weight when it comes to junior tennis.
The seven-year-old player rounded off his winter season with successive victories in the 10 years and under Winter Series event played at Next Generation Gidea Park in January and March.
It follows victory in the Ariel regional event for the same age group and saw Edward, a member of Garons Tennis Academy in Southend, playing against many competitors two year older than he is.
Edward is now hoping he has collected enough ranking points to play in the 10 and under Winter Series finals and emulate the success of his brother Thomas who won the event in 2007.
