THORPE Bay's ladies team suffered a 12-0 defeat away to Hertford-shire's Gosling in Division One Group F of the National Club League.

And Thorpe's men went down 8-4 away to Buckinghamshire club Gerrards Cross on Sunday in Men's Division Two Group R.

Completing a weekend to forget for south-east Essex clubs in the NCL were Westcliff Hardcourts' men who lost 12-0 away to Middlesex's Globe.

The next round of matches are on Sunday, May 11.
