LEE Barnard suffered a calf injury during yesterday's 2-1 defeat at Huddersfield Town.
The Southend United striker, who has bagged 17 goals already this season, limped off with six minutes remaining at the Galpharm Stadium.
But Blues have yet to discover how serious Barnard's injury is.
“Lee got a tug on his calf and that’s why he had to come off,” confirmed Blues boss Steve Tilson.
“We certainly won’t be taking any risks with Barney and the sensible decision was to take him off before he made it any worse.
“We will just have to wait and see how it settles down in the next 24 hours or so now.”
Barnard has managed to so far avoid any injury setbacks this season having previously been plagued by regular visits to the treatment table.
