CRAIG Easton has been confirmed as Southend United's new captain.
The 31-year-old midfielder has previously worked with Blues boss Paul Sturrock at Dundee United and Swindon Town.
And Sturrock is therefore confident about Easton's leadership skills
"Craig is someone I know well and is a natural leader in my opinion,” said Sturrock.
“He is 31-years-old and has played nearly 400 games.
He has a terrific work ethic and, although he hasn’t been a captain before, he will grow in to the role I’m sure.”
