Blues closing in on double French signing

BLUES boss Steve Tilson is close to completing transfers for two French players - midfielder Jean-François Christophe and striker Francis Laurent.

Laurent is set to join the Shrimpers until the end of the season, while Christophe, who is currently with Portsmouth, should sign on loan for a month.

"We hope to get them both signed up later on today," said Tilson.

"Francis looked in the reserve game at Fulham in the week so we won't to take more of a look at him.

"And Jean-Francois is a sitter in the midfield so hopefully they can both do well for us."
