AN X-FACTOR hopeful provided the entertainment at Basildon’s first-ever Jack Petchey Achievement Awards ceremony.
Singer Annastasia Baker was the attraction at the event, where youngsters from ten schools and colleges across the district were honoured for their achievements.
Several teenagers walked away with leadership awards after they were judged to have made a difference to the lives of young people in their community.
All winners received medals and certificates, along with the bonus of securing a £300 cheque from the Jack Petchey foundation for their school or club.
