DAREDEVIL Claire Jillins took the plunge to raise money for a charity helping disabled people find work.

Claire, 24, of Newlands Road, Canvey, leapt from 10,000 feet for her first skydive – and loved it so much she can’t wait to do it again soon.

The skydive raised £600 for the Business Opportunities for the Physically Handicapped, a charity founded by her grandmother.

Claire said: “It was fantastic, the whole thing was just great. It was such a rush.

“I just want to do it again now. I don’t actually remember the instructor saying go, but I did ask him if we could go again when we were halfway down.”

Claire added her gran, Joan Lythgoe, was delighted with the money she had raised for the charity, which organises free work placements for young disabled people who are find ti hard to find work on their own.

Claire said: “My nan is so happy about the money. It’s a lot more than we thought we’d raise.

“She was having kittens all day though, until I called her to say I was OK.”
