A GROUP of guests from Japan visited Castle Point Council offices as part of a cultural trip.

Five young professionals met Castle Point mayor, Norman Ladzrie, council leader, Pam Challis, and chief executive, David Marchant, as they toured the Kiln Road offices in Thundersley. The group was also given presentations about Castle Point’s history, and UK local government.

Mr Ladzrie said: “Castle Point is a beautiful place so we had a great deal to share with these young people. We enjoyed learning a little more about their lives, too.”

The trip was funded by the Rotary Foundation – the charitable arm of Rotary International – as part of an exchange programme.
