CHILDREN at two Canvey schools served up cakes, biscuits and coffee to raise money for charity.
Pupils from Further-wick Park Secondary School and Lubbins Park Primary School took part in Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s Bigg-est Coffee Morning. You-ngsters at Furtherwick Park baked chocolate and sponge cakes while members of staff donated coffee, tea and milk for the event, which raised more than £130 for the campaign.Year 5 pupils from Lubbins Park served parents with cakes and biscuits to raise the money for the charity which provides nurses for seriously ill cancer patients.
Assistant headteacher Diane Anderson said: “The event was enjoyed by the staff and children, as well as the guests participating in the event.”
Lubbins Park’s coffee morning raised £107.
