PUPILS dressed in pink to show their support for Felicia Cantone, a little girl who lost her leg to bone cancer.
The pink theme was part of a fundraising day at Belfairs High School, in Leigh, held to help Felicia seek stem cell treatment in America.
The ten-year-old, of Leigh- ton Avenue, Leigh, has inspired hoards of people with her fight against Ewing's sarcoma, which led to the amputation of her right leg. She returned to North Street School, in Leigh, just two days later because she missed her classmates.
Joanne Whitfield, a teacher at Belfairs, said: "My class wanted to help Felicia. In the event the whole school got involved, including a non-uniform day and we were able to provide Felicia with a further £1,000 towards the treatment.
Carlo Cantone, Felicia's father, said: "We plan to take Felicia to the States or Mexico for three weeks in mid-May.
"This will be for alternative treatment, because she cannot have any more chemo and the next 12 months are vital for her cure."
