THE FitzWimarc School in Rayleigh has unveiled its new head boy and girl for the forthcoming year - after a rigorous selection process.
Interested pupils had to apply for the prestigious positions and undergo an interview with assistant headteacher, Dave Wright, in front of the school council.
Beating off stiff competition were Corrie Thorn, who has been appointed head girl, and head boy, Matt Willis. Francesca Syrett and Ashley Carter are their respective deputies. All four are aged 15 and in Year 10.
