An astonishing medal haul for SHSB emphasised the school’s dominance with twelve gold, ten silver and eleven bronze medals over the three days of the Essex Clubs 3AAA’s championships. Twelve county champions!

The athletes also secured a clean sweep of the medals in the Intermediate boys high jump and triple jump with Jimi Tele, 9ST3, smashing the Junior boys championship best performance for triple jump by over a metre to 13.08m, as well as winning the Long Jump.

The SHSB Junior boys (Years 8-9) team achieved a remarkable collection of results. Out of the 15 available events the school won 8. The school only failed to medal in two disciplines: 200m and 440m hurdles; and won all but two of the field events: the javelin and discus where they finished 2nd and 3rd.
