Joyce Long MBE is once again opening her garden to the public selling antiques, musical instruments, bric-a-brac, collectables and much more to raise money for Southend Hospital Charitable Foundation’s StrokeBusters Appeal.
The Appeal has helped with the transformation of the stroke unit at Southend University Hospital which is now one of the top three units in the country. Joyce said: “We are keeping our fingers crossed for some good weather and hope for a good turn out from the public. The new stroke unit is wonderful and the StrokeBusters Appeal has made such a difference. I am delighted to continue to support this cause and I am so grateful to everyone who supports me.”
The next week-long charity sale will run from Monday 29 September to Saturday 4 October at 22 Park Road, Thundersley from 9am to 4pm. For more information contact the Department of Fundraising at Southend University Hospital on 01702 385337.
