Drivers are facing severe delays both ways on the A127 in south Essex this evening after reports of a crash.
All traffic has been held on the major road Southend-bound after reports of a crash just before the Rayleigh Weir, according to Essex County Council traffic control.
Motorists are facing severe delays back to the A132 in Nevendon.

Traffic control has also reported one lane has been closed on the A127 London-bound just after the Rayleigh Weir due to an "incident", with long delays.
It was initially reported this was a separate incident, but the closure is now believed to be related.
AA reports severe delays of 17 minutes which are increasing on Southend-bound between Nevendon and Rayleigh Weir, with an average speed of ten miles per hour.
Emergency services have been contacted for comment.
