A TEENAGE boy has been "struck" to the head during an attack in Basildon.
Essex Police were called to Timberlog Lane, in Basildon, at around 7.30pm yesterday evening.
This was after reports that two suspects had struck the victim to the head with a baton of some kind.
The victim, a teenage boy, did not suffer a serious injury.
Officers say enquiries into the assault are ongoing at this stage.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We were called to reports of an assault in the area of Timberlog Lane, Basildon, at around 7.30pm on Wednesday 8 May.
"It was reported two suspects had struck the victim, a teenage boy, to the head, thankfully causing no serious injury.
"Officers attended and our enquiries into this incident are ongoing.
"Anyone with information, or footage, which could assist our enquiries should get in touch.
"Please quote reference 42/72100/24."
