JESSICA Judd has secured her place in the Great Britain squad for the World Championships in Oregon.
Judd, who grew up on Canvey, triumphed in the10,000m at the British Championships in Highgate.
And the former Castle View School pupil could not contain her delight at crossing the finishing line in front.
“I got really emotional coming down the home straight,” Judd told Athletics Weekly.
“I’ve never won a 10,000m race so to do that was amazing.”
But Judd is now also targeting more major championships, with both the European Championship and the Commonwealth Games taking place this summer.
“I’d like to do everything, as I get married in September,” said Judd.
“I want the Judd name to go out on a high.”
