JESSICA Judd set a new personal best to finish 11th in the 10,000m at the World Athletics Championships tonight.
The 27-year-old, from Canvey Island, finished in a time of 30 minutes, 35.93 seconds to beat her previous best by 45 seconds.
And Judd joked she thought still had another lap to run!
The former Castle View School pupil told the BBC: “My dad has got me here and he’s amazing and to run that time I can’t believe it.
“I thought I must have another lap to do!
“It was really good for about 7k and then I just get thinking about trying to pick them off.
“The holding camp was great here and I’ve come into this really fresh which I don’t normally get to do.
“My fiancé Rob has given me lots of good luck messages too which helped because I get really nervous. “
Judd will run in the 5,000m heats in Oregon on Wednesday.
