BOWERS & Pitsea suffered a 2-0 defeat at Hastings United in the Isthmian Premier and remain fourth from bottom in the table.
In Isthmian North, table-topping Hashtag United made it 17 league in a row after securing a 2-1 victory at Coggeshall Town.
Toby Aromolaran and Alex Teniola were both on target for the Tags inside the opening half an hour.
Basildon United – who are 15th in the table – lost 1-0 at home to Maldon & Tiptree while fourth from bottom Hullbridge Sports lost 3-0 at Gorleston, the team immediately below them in the standings.
Bottom of the table Great Wakering Rovers lost 2-0 at eighth placed East Thurrock United and have still not won since early October.
