A DANGEROUS driver reached speeds above 100mph before crashing into a roundabout during a police chase in south Essex.
Police officers were alerted by Metropolitan Police colleagues to a car being driven dangerously from London into Essex in the early hours of last Tuesday.
Along with officers from Essex Police's roads policing unit, police dog Max's handler pursued the car as it entered into the county along the A13 towards Rayleigh.
The car failed to stop for police and continued to be driven dangerously, reportedly going the wrong way around roundabouts and speeding at more than 100 miles per hour.
It then crashed onto a roundabout near Kebab World in Hadleigh, with police dog Max springing into action to prevent the driver from getting away.
A 34-year-old man from London appeared at Southend Magistrates' Court where he admitted driving while banned, driving without insurance and dangerous driving.
He is due to be sentenced on May 29 and will remain in custody until then.
