NEIL ROBERT MOORE, 26th September 1933 - 29th August 2018 Neil Moore, 84, formerly of Leigh on Sea, Essex, passed away with peace and dignity on Wednesday 29th August 2018, at the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham. A celebration of life service will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday 8th October at Sutton Road Crematorium, Southend on Sea. Please, no flowers but donations to 1st Westcliff Scouts and the Lions Club of Southend. Neil was born 26th September 1933 in Leigh on Sea to Bill and Kath Moore. He attended Southend High School for Boys and after a spell of National Service he was then articled to a city law firm before becoming a family Solicitor within what eventually became his own practice, AG Freeman and Son. In 1961 he married Eithne and went on to enjoy over 50 years of marriage. He enjoyed his work but decided to retire in the late 90's. Neil was an avid sailor and a long active member of the Southend Lions Club and the Old Southendian Association. He spent many weekends watching rugby and acquired an extensive knowledge of far eastern antiquities even managing to learn Mandarin. Neil is survived by two of his Sons, Nick Moore and his Wife Tracey of Sydney, Australia; Simon Moore of Nottingham, UK together with his much loved Grandson, William and very many relations and close family members. He was preceded in death by his Wife Eithne Moore (Cowzer) in 2017, and his beloved Son, Ian, in 1996.
