Leslie James Barker 28.09.34 - 14.01.21 Former Director of Environmental Health and Community Services. Sadly passed away peacefully aged 86. Much loved husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

So sad to hear of Les’ passing. A true gentleman and committed public servant at Southend Council where I happily worked with him for many years, succeeding him as Head of Environmental Health. Sincere condolences are sent to Katharine and his family from my wife Brenda and I.
