Iris Cerny Family members are saddened to share that Iris Cerny of Langdon Hills, Basildon, passed away on 18th April 2022 after a year-long battle with Motor Neurone Disease. She will be forever remembered as a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a great friend to many. Originally from Morriston, South Wales, Iris relocated to South Essex in 1977 and has since committed herself to a career in education with numerous school management roles in primary schools around Essex and especially Basildon. Iris's funeral will take place at 3.30pm at Bentley Crematorium, Brentwood on Monday 9th May. Iris requested that instead of flowers donations are made to St Luke's Hospice where the team showed extraordinary kindness in caring for her through the later stages of her illness.
