Implementation of Parallel Crossing on a Raised Table, Ballards Walk, Basildon

Notice is hereby given that under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and

Sections 90A and 90C of the Highways Act 1980, the Essex County Council proposes to

establish a Parallel Crossing on a Raised Table on the following length of Ballards Walk

in the Borough of Basildon located as follows:-

Road Description



Ballards Walk, The centre of the crossing will be approximately 45 metres north



Basildon west of the junction with Little Lullaway.



Zig-Zags for the above Parallel Crossing will be installed on Ballards Walk, Basildon in the following locations:

BOTH SIDES

From its junction with the north west side of the Parallel Crossing in a north westerly direction for a distance of approximately 30 metres.

From its junction with the south east side of the Parallel Crossing in a south easterly direction for a distance of approximately 34 metres.

The above Parallel Crossing will be installed on a Raised Table with the following dimensions:

The Raised Table will have an upstand of approximately 100 millimetres and will be located from a point approximately 8 metres south east from the south eastern kerb line ofWoolmergreen, south east for a length of approximately 22 metres. The gradient of on/off ramps is proposed to be 10%.

(Castle Road, Rayleigh) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2019

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Castle Road, Rayleigh in the District of Rochford, from approximately 24m south-east of High Street, south-easterly for approximately 41m.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 16/09/19 to 04/10/19 or where stated on a valid permit (EP00312000889). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs/displayed on

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while works to install a new foul water and utility connections relating to a section 50 licence are undertaken. Diversion via: Castle Road, Daws heath Road, Eastwood Road, High Street and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 16/09/19 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Barling Road, Great Wakering) (Temporary Introduction of 30mph Speed Limit) Order 2019

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed limit in that length of Barling Road, GreatWakering in the District of Rochford, from its junction with Shopland Road for a distance of approximately 475m in a southerly direction (Current speed limit is 60mph). The temporary speed limit is scheduled to commence on 6/09/2019 for 42 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ0071000843917 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on

. The temporary speed limit is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas main replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.

The Order came into effect on 29/08/19 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Poynters Lane, Great Wakering) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2019

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Poynters Lane, GreatWakering in the District of Rochford, from its junction with Shoebury Road for a distance of approximately 665m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 26/09/2019 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30034819204 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on

The Order will come into effect on 12/09/2019 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Wakering Road, Great Wakering) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2019

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Wakering Road, GreatWakering

in the District of Rochford, from its junction with Poynters Lane for a distance of approximately 75m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 26/09/2019 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30034819205 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on

The Order will come into effect on 12/09/2019 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Swan Mead, Vange) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2019

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Swan Mead, Vange in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Clay Hill to its junction with Collingwood Road, a distance of approximately 75m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 23/09/2019 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2281754 - Essex County Council). Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Baardwyk Avenue, Canvey Island in the District of Castle Point, from its junction with Hassell Road to its junction with Winterswyk Avenue. The closure is scheduled to commence on 23/09/2019 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2281659- Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.

. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council. An alternative route is available via Holbek Road, Buren Avenue, Point Road, High Street, Baardwyk Avenue and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 12/09/19 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Various Roads, Borough of Basildon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Clearway) (No.12) Order 2019

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close the various lengths of road in the Borough of Basildon as specified in the schedule to this Order.



2. A temporary 'No Waiting' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of roads for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.



"The Essex County Council (Various Roads, Basildon District) (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2008" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 12/09/2019 exact dates will be specified on

. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.
