A127 THE BELL JUNCTION IMPROVEMENT SCHEME A127 PRINCE AVENUE WESTCLIFF -ON-SEA & A127 PRINCE AVENUE SOUTHEND-ON-SEA TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED LIMIT ORDER 2020 NOTICE UNDER SECTION 14 OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
WHEREAS the Borough Council of Southend-on-Sea (hereinafter referred to as the Council) is satisfied that traffic on the A127 Prince Avenue should be regulated by reason of works in connection with The Bell Junction Improvement Scheme NOW THEREFORE the Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of al other enabling powers, hereby gives notice that from 20th April 2020, it proposes to introduce a temporary speed limit order on the A127 Prince Avenue. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle, except a vehicle belonging to the emergency services, to travel at a speed in excess of 30 MPH along the section of: the A127 Prince Avenue at the junction with the roundabout at Nestuda Way/Thanet Grange (Tesco's roundabout) and the junction of A1159 Manners Way, A1159 Priory Crescent and A127 Victoria Avenue (Cuckoo Corner roundabout) the temporary speed limit covers both the eastbound and westbound carriageways. The existing 40 MPH speed limit is temporarily revoked during this period. The order shall remain in force for up to 18 months or the duration of the works, whichever is the earlier. The restrictions shall be regulated by signage on site The restrictions are required in the interests of road safety for both members of the public and workforce.
WHEREAS
the Borough Council of Southend-on-Sea (hereinafter referred to as the Council) is satisfied that traffic on the

should be regulated by reason of works in connection with The Bell Junction Improvement Scheme
NOW THEREFORE
the Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of al other enabling powers, hereby
gives notice that
from 20th April 2020,
it proposes to introduce a temporary speed limit order on the A127 Prince Avenue.
