GOVERNING BODY OF ABBOTS HALL PRIMARY SCHOOL STATUTORY NOTICE CHANGE OF CATEGORY OF THE SCHOOL TO FOUNDATION
Notice is given in accordance with section 19(3) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 that the Governing Body of Abbots Hall Primary School intends to make a prescribed alteration to Abbots Hall Primary School, currently a Community School, of Abbotts Drive, Stanford-le-Hope, Essex, SS17 7BW.
The proposed alteration is to change the category of the school from a Community School to a Foundation School from 1st March 2013.
The Governing body of Abbots Hall Primary School believe that a change of category will raise the achievement and aspirations of all students, bring benefits from external expertise, enable the school to better fulfill its community remit and bring improved opportunities and outcomes for all students. Key Objectives: To enhance opportunities for students; To enable school governors, leaders and managers to have a greater influence in the future direction and development of the School; To take ownership of the site to enable the Governors to safeguard the future of the school in a very rapidly changing political and economic landscape; To enable the School to become its own employer of staff and run its own admissions; and To enable the school’s leaders and governors to have a greater influence in the future direction and development of the school as they develop strategies for improvement; Any person may object to or comment on this proposal.
