Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under Sections 1(1), (2), 2(4) and 3(2) and Parts III & IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. All restrictions detailed in the notice dated the 4 August 2017 will no longer be proceeding.
Effect of the order To introduce a 7.5 tonne environmental weight restriction on the following lengths of Bohun Link, Burnt Mills Road and Courtauld Road, in the Borough of Basildon:
Road - Description
Bohun Link Basildon - From its roundabout junction with Burnt Mills Road, in a northerly direction to its junction with Wollaston Way.
Burnt Mills Road Bowers Gifford/Basildon - From its junction with Pound Lane, in a westerly directions for a distance of approximately 1300 metres, to its junction with Rushley.
Courtauld Road Basildon - From its junction with Burnt Mills Road, in a north easterly and then north westerly direction for approximately 205 metres.
'The District of Basildon (Ravenscroft Bridge/Burnt Mills Road) (Weight Restriction) Order 2000' is hereby revoked. 'The District of Basildon (Felmores, Pitsea, Basildon) (Weight Restriction and One Way Traffic) and (Road 45 Felmores End and Service Road) (Bus Lane and One Way Traffic) (Revocation) Order 1995' is hereby revoked insofar as it relates to the 7.5 tonne weight restriction on Felmores only. All other restrictions will remain in force. The 7.5 tonne weight restriction on Felmores/Lanhams, Basildon will continue in force by virtue of this order.
