Essex County Council (Footpath 14, Billericay) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2017
Further to a notices: Under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which commenced on 8 September 2017.
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 14, Billericay in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Blunts Wall Road, north then west then south for a total distance of approximately 320 metres to the eastern edge of the cricket ground. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13 September 2017 for 4 weeks, weather permitting, or where appropriate signs are showing, and is required for the safety of the public and workforce while clearance of building materials from site, digging of new ditch and culverting of the ditch is undertaken. There will also be construction vehicle movements.
The alternative route will be Blunts Hall Road westwards, and then northwards with permission up the tennis club driveway to intersect with the public footpath and vice-versa. The Order will come into effect on 13 September 2017 and may continue in force for 6 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
