(BAILEY ROAD/GORDON ROAD LEIGH-ON-SEA) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ENTRY, WAITING, LOADING & UNLOADING) ORDER 2017 ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

Notice is hereby given that the Southend-on-Sea Borough Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Effect of the order To temporarily close and prohibit waiting loading and unloading in Bailey Road at its junction with Gordon Road.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd October 2017 for 2 days or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting.

The alternative routes will be via A13 London Road, Sydney Road and Stirling Avenue and vice versa

Access for Emergency vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained where possible

The Order will come into effect on 3rd October 2017 and may continue in force for 18 months

or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce whilst sewer mains works

take place.

The proh ibit ions or restrict ions w ill apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the TRAFFIC SIGNS REGULATIONS AND GENERAL DIRECTIONS 2016.
